Ridgeland High School Honors Academy is bringing together top quality faculty; current Honors Academy students; intellectually stimulating activities; and academically motivated and gifted students from 4th and 8th grades. The courses offered are intended to challenge the students
Haunted Anatomy
"Man lives 65 days with a pig heart!" Fact or fiction? Find out in the Biology Dissection class as we explore the similarities between pig and human hearts.
Witch's Brew
Ever wonder what’s being stirred around inside a witch’s cauldron? Discover the mystic powers of dry ice and how this magical substance is unlike any other concoction.
Day of the Dead Celebration
Explore the cultural significance of Dia de los Muertos. Students will learn the history of this unique Mexican holiday by making traditional Day of the Dead masks and practicing their Spanish-speaking skills.
Super Saturday Schedule
- 8:30 – 8:50: Arrival and registration
- 9:00 – 9:50: Course 1
- 9:55 – 10:45: Course 2
- 10:45 – 11:00: Snacks Provided
- 11:05 – 11:55: Course 3
- 12:00 Parent Pickup
NOTE: Parents are responsible for transporting students to and from this event. Please arrive and pick up students on time!
